Hjenlyera Xet {zhen-lee-AIR-uh   KSET}

Hume of the planet Oraea. Expert in the volcanic calderas of Xeonexai, the far northwest region of that planet’s larger continent most famous for its pockets of petrified forests (both above and below the ground). Hjenlyera is a geologist and edaphologist - someone studying the effects of soils on living beings - who, wherever ze goes, starts stories and converstaions using samplings of rich soils from different calderas that ze keeps in a belt of waterproof pouches. A keen observer, zir speciality title is something like ‘Scientist of Relationships between Extraplanetary Bodies and Early Growths in Scarred Soils’. Ze journeyed to Oraea's moon Yorok, and still works there half the year, to create micro gardens and collaborate on studies of the moon’s soils.

Once Yorok’s depths were explored, and the depressions in that moon's surface determined to be craters rather than calderas, ze developed a new and added curiosity about astronomical phenomena and the potentialities of effects of asteroid impacts on soil and life.

Hjenlyera is also an actor, famous in zir way but also famously unpredictable in what project ze will appear in next. Ze recently began collaboration as a director in working with theatreco savant Isvalak Romavsavak on a play to light up the Oraean landscape with both celestial and planetary light, inciting even lava itself to bubble and flow and create root-like patterns connecting the petrified forests in conjunction with a concert of the cosmos.
