Bioanthropy

technology of the moon Arcad, seen across the cosmos

The actual science, methods, and secrets of Bioanthropy of course cannot be revealed here. But what we can say of what it has accomplished, of its ethos, of its potential? Top-tier scientists, top-sphere creatives, top-gear engineers - artists all - locked themselves away in a custom laboratory complex on Arcad, with plenty of hydro and electric power and characters such as Rhiam, fifth Eye of the Suns, at the helm of their enterprise.

And what prizes they found there! The capacity where any being may be integrated, on neural and even physical levels, with nigh-on any other form being. The results can be quite overt, or covert and subtle.

Picture: at dinner, a guest grows an orange from their palm and serves some to all. Your friend's cat ears twitch with delight. A parent's skin changes pattern and color. Gills allow for easy swimming, or new spectrums of light can be seen. Antennae allow for wider sensing, wings for far flight, and feathers can make amazing hair. This is a technology that facilitates both the pragmatic and the creative, borrowing from nature all kinds of adaptations and artistic expressions.

This has in turn and of course created a further blurring of the boundaries between 'hume', 'being', and beyond; and has encouraged us all to imagine what can’t yet be seen, and then find ways to see what we can't yet imagine.

"There are frontiers for lightyears," says a popular philosophy on Arcad, "and the only true limits are the ones we set ourselves."

Which does not suggest we should not set limits, say the same practitioners of that philosophy - only to know that we continue to check in on them, for the limits we set or practice are not pure laws of the cosmos; they come from us, from who and how we are when we set them, from what we value and vaunt, from what creates more nourishing circumstances for all life.
