"We know we’re born in the deep"
Kurena Imai and Celephaia Shamdasaani, two humes of the planet Noma, were partners in the explorations of love and the love of exploration.
Together, always together, they undertook the inaugural descents into what is now the widely known Luminescent Canyon
It was on the sixth of these when Kurena was caught in an undertow and taken too far too fast, into realms long illuminated by distant relatives of those beings called Awe, realms perhaps thitherto never seen by hume eyes.
The words we reprint below are the maddened poem-murmurings of Kurena, all she would utter or mutter for many a moon after she was found, leagues away, entangled in the flowering kelps that carpet Noma's southwestern seas.
"We know we’re born in the deep,
an embryonic subterranean tectonic submergence in recurrent re-emergence
out of the surgings of murmurings within these bodies of water
transposing and new-composing
manifestations in moonrise, sunset, concert and chorus.
mysmys mystery was not taken from us,
not from us but submerged within us,
as some ancient land beneath older oceans…
Be pierced porous, bubbling and unbabbled by lunar bloom.
Be addled and Babeling all language unladleing
in the light of the sights soon unveiling…"
