The Robots - themselves original classics of song, story, and mystery - were the first to bring the limerick back from Earth; this was some several hundred years ago now, when much of modernity was young. There is a light and a delight even in the lilt and rhythm of the limerick’s form in and of itself, and it lets the Robots feel what they call ‘inner intangible motion’.

In the modern moment, the limerick is alive and laughing. The point of birth for this second movement is even less clear than the limerick’s arrival to the Pleiades, but however this seed grew the end is the same: poets all over the place are playing again with the unique feel of limericks, praising and plying with nature, Nature, life, Life - and, of course, Robots.
