Chronoan Clown Story

“Little fish, little fish, seek the hook o’ your wish!”

So this hume is out one evening, on some adventure or another, as they often are.

Just as it’s getting dark, and the wind picks up more than they’d planned,

they find a campfire with a Chronoan Clown sat by it, preparing a fresh-caught fish for the roasting.
The hume didn't know this was a Chronoan Clown, of course. One never knows for sure, if one even knows at all.

“How about you, hume?" said the Clown. "Do you eat fish? Or, do you let fish eat you?”

Of course the hume didn’t know what to say. The Clown went on:

“I say it depends on the fish. But everyone should be eaten at least once.”

The clown smiled at the hume.

"You ready? This fish sure is."

“What, now?” gasped the hume.

“What? Now!” proclaimed the Clown.

“But that fish is dead.”

“To you,” said the Clown.

“Not to you?"

The fire crackled.

“From two of my three views, so are you.”

The fire cackled.
